If you have used WebEx before you will be able to playback the recording  using Java.  When you open the WebEx media player allow it to fully buffer and then look for a tab on top right hand side, this is a menu tab and it allows you to scroll through the recording.

This allows you to download the WebEx Media Player to play recording.

If you have administration access then go ahead and download, if this is restricted contact your IT department and they will install the WebEx Media Player for you.

This live webinar features a public sector case study, from NHS Lothian who are making use of a innovative collaboration technology to reduce travel and improve staff productivity and work / life balance.  This free online event was kindly hosted by PGi and Cisco who demonstrated the technology and proved how the solution supports mobile, flexible and new ways of working.

The webinar covered:

  • Reducing unnecessary organisational travel through collaboration technology
  • Improvements in employee productivity and work/life balance
  • Think Global, Act Local – opening up to new markets
  • Adoption through low cost strategies – software as a service
  • Work Smart - mobile & flexible working – best practice.

The webinar also:

  • Provided examples of real life adoption strategies and examples of where the technology is positively impacting organisations
  • Showed, through a live and interactive demonstration, how collaboration technologies can directly benefit local authorities and assist with mobile & flexible working
  • Provided an interactive open forum for Q&A
  • Offered attendees a free trial of the PGi Cisco Webex Collaboration product and individual consultation for their organisation from PGi.

The webinar was presented by:

  • Gavin Kinnaird & Chris Thomas: consultants with PGi for the public sector with have experience in delivering and managing the adoption of collaboration technologies into public sector organisations including NHS & Government.
  • Steve McKee: a collaboration consultant with Cisco for Public Sector, an expert speaker on the adopting drivers, varied uses, ease of delivery and high returns on investment through the use of internet collaboration technologies.
  • Guest Speaker - Alan Hush: Voice & Video Services Manager @ NHS Lothian who has recently revolutionised working practices through collaboration technologies across the board. (Alan was unfortunately called away before the event started but his presentation was given by Chris Thomas, PGi)

The CIEH Annual Mobile Working Conference

Chaired by Ken Eastwood, National Lead for Public Sector Nomads, the main focus for this event is to provide practical and effective advice to help management teams, and the workplace as a whole, reach and exceed service improvement goals.

This event has been updated for 2010 to provide you with the latest information in effective mobile working strategies as well as providing you with a live insight into the latest technologies that are currently available.

You will be able to network with other public sector professionals and gain the confidence to make changes within local authorities and in your own work. The Mobile Working conference will also provide you with advice and “lessons learnt” from local authorities who have already implemented flexible working.

The Mobile Working exhibition will support the conference programme by featuring varied key product suppliers and services. There will also be live demonstrations from companies who have created the latest technologies in mobile ICT to support your move into a flexible working environment.
